About Effex Studios

We started with a camera and a conviction: African stories deserve world-class production.

Effex Studios was born in Douala, Cameroon, a city of hustle, creativity, and untold stories. We saw a gap: incredible stories all around us, but not enough people telling them with the craft and care they deserved.

So we built a studio to change that. Not a studio that imports foreign aesthetics, but one that understands the rhythm, the light, the soul of this place. One that makes Africa look the way it feels.

Today, we work with brands, organizations, and visionaries across the continent and beyond. From brand films to documentaries, commercial photography to social content — everything we create has one thing in common: it tells the truth, beautifully.
